Welcome to  In My Mailbox, a meme run by The Story Siren where each week over 200 bloggers post on their blogs the books they have bought, received to review or won in the past week.

To find out more information, get involved yourself or see what's in other bloggers mailboxes this week head over to The Story Siren or to find out what is in my mailbox this week, keep reading.

Don't forget to comment and post your IMM link or just let me know what's in your mail box this week.

Another week of quality over quantity. Which is not a bad thing as it allowed me to catch up on some of my reading :-). Just some great books from the library this week.  All synopsis' via Goodreads:

Vulpi (Thyla #2) by Kate Gordon

Synopsis: Cat Connolly is a Thyla now. She's not sure where her life is heading, but she knows she doesn't want to go back to the human world.

But all is not well among the shapeshifters. The treaty between the Thylas and the Sarcos is causing tension and the malevolent Diemens are still on the hunt.

Then into Cat's life wanders someone who should be an enemy but acts like a friend - and everything changes again. She discovers more about shapeshifters and Diemens, about Tessa, and about her own heart.

Vulpi continues the story of Tasmania begun in Thyla. It is the story of how the shapeshifters were created, and a clue to what they might become. It is the story of what happened to Cat, and about the decisions we all must make as we learn how to be.

Comment: I reviewed the first book in this series Thyla last year and really enjoyed it so couldn't help but grab this one at the library :-)

Old Magic by Marianne Curley

Synopsis: Jarrod Thornton is mesmerising.

But Kate Warren doesn't know why.

The moment the new guy walks into the room, Kate senses something strange and intense about him. Something supernatural. Her instincts are proven correct a few minutes later when, bullied by his classmates, Jarrod unknowingly conjures up a freak thunderstorm inside their classroom.

Jarrod doesn't believe in the paranormal. When Kate tries to convince him that he has extraordinary powers that need to be harnessed, he only puts up with her "hocus pocus" notions because he finds her captivating. However, the dangerous, uncontrolled strengthening of his gift finally convinces Jarrod that he must take Kate's theories seriously. Together, they embark on a remarkable journey -- one which will unravel the mystery that has haunted Jarrod's family for generations and pit the teens against immense forces in a battle to undo the past and reshape the future.

Reckoning (Strange Angels #5) by Lili St. Crow
Defiance (Strange Angels #4) by Lili St. Crow
Black Heart (Curseworkers #3) by Holly Black

Comment: no synopses for the above, alas, as I have not yet read books 1-3 of Strange Angels series nor book 2 of the Curseworker series and did not want to inadvertently spoil myself. However if you click on the titles, they will take you each books' Goodreads page.

So what was in your mailbox this week?
