Blog Tour Post & Giveaway: Immerse (Mer Chronicles #3) by Tobie Easton

Welcome today's stop on the Immerse (Mer Chronicles #3) by Tobie Easton Blog Tour presented by Month9Books and hosted by Chapter by Chapter.  Today's stop is a review as well as a chance to enter the great giveaway that is being run throughout this tour.

I loved books 1 and 2 of this series so I jumped at the chance to read and review the conclusion to this series. It was most definitely a good decision. Not only was it a great continuation and satisfying conclusion to a very enjoyable series but it was also a enjoyable and engaging story in its own right.

Book 3, Immerse, starts a day before Lia's parent's are due to be crowned King and Queen of Mer, Lia and Clay are seeing each other in secret and Caspian has been visiting Melusine in the not quite jail cell the community has placed her in.

I loved that this story is told from both Lia and Melusine's alternating points of view. It really added such depth to the story as the two characters have such different perspectives and I really like that we got to know more about Melusine in this book and got to explore both her feelings on her previous action in the pas two books as well as her perspective of the story unfolding in front of her. The storyline felt believable and I was glued till the end waiting to see how it all turned out. I liked the way the story built and the ending was everything I had hope for

I also felt that Lia grew a lot in this book both in her decision making and actions and I liked her even more in this book than I had previously.

Over all this book has all the elements of a great story; Characters that you could feel genuine connections to, a story line pulled you in and kept you there through all the twists and turns, and a nice balance of action, adventure and romance and leaves with a feeling of satisfaction in the ending.
I happily give this read 4 stars

Blog Tour Post & Giveaway - Review: Right Girl Wrong Timing (Offsides #3) by Natalie Decker

Welcome today's stop on the Right Girl Wrong Timing (Offsides #3) by Natalie Decker Blog Tour presented by Swoon Romance and hosted by Chapter by Chapter.  Today's stop is a review as well as a chance to enter the great giveaway that is being run throughout this tour.

I went into this book expecting to enjoy the read but actually ended up enjoying it even more than I expected.

Book 3 of the Offsides series focuses on Adaline Bea Frost and Austen Reed and we follow the story from Addie and Austen in alternating perspectives throughout the book. We had met Addie as Juliet's best friend and Austen as friend and team mate of Tyler and Jared in the previous books. As a result I had formed opinions of both Addie and Austen going into this book. Addie I liked. Austen not so much. So I wasn't sure how I felt about this pairing going in. My perspective was changed after the first chapter, in fact the first paragraph. As I got further into the story, the more I connected and warmed to the both of them, Austen in particular.

The story itself was engaging, fun and sweet and kept me completely in it from beginning to end. Taking place from shortly after book 2 until Spring break of the same year, we follow Addie dealing with her crush on Austen after she believes he has rejected her when he said no to taking her to the Valentines Day dance as well as pressure from her parents over her academics and her future and Austen, who is dealing with changes in his home life and dealing with the pressures of being in a single parent family that isn't quite making ends meet and trying to not only work out what he feels for Addies but trying get her to see it too.

The story itself felt authentic in its portrayal of the two main characters and their friends around them and I was definitely pulling for them to get together by the end.

If it is not my favourite of the series so far, its very close to, and that in itself is more than I expected going in. I am really enjoying this series a whole and am hoping there will be more to come

I happily give this read 4 stars

About Right Girl Wrong Timing (Offsides #3)

Right Girl Wrong Timing by Natalie Decker
Publication Date: March 12, 2019
Publisher: Swoon Romance

Adaline Frost’s life officially sucks. Now that her BFF has found her true love, Addy is constantly stuck being the third wheel. On top of that, she hasn’t started her junior project yet, so her advisor pairs her up with what could only be described as the “Reject Breakfast Club.” Instead of the weirdo and the troublemaker, Addy is forced to work with two stoners, a popular girl, and her crush, Austin Reed, the jock who broke her heart.

Austin Reed is sick of being labeled “dumb jock.” If he doesn’t get an A on this project, he can kiss his future goodbye. Austin thought he’d gotten lucky being partners with the very nerdy Adaline Frost, but boy was he wrong. Addy jumps down his throat about his being late and calls him names like “manwhore” on the daily. She has no idea Austin works before and after school in order to help his mom with the bills. Yeah, he’s made mistakes and has had lots of girlfriends, but he doesn’t need Adaline Frost to remind him of it every time he sees her.

Can Austin and Addy ever be a thing?

About Right Text Wrong Number (Off Sides #1)

Cheerleader Layla and football player Tyler are complete opposites. She thinks he’s the biggest jerk in school and he thinks she's too high on her horse to even be worth a second glance. When the two of them are near one another, sparks fly in all the wrong directions. They can hardly endure speaking, let alone dating.

But when Layla unknowingly sends Tyler a smack-down text meant for the girl sending naked photos to her then-boyfriend, Adam, Tyler has no idea it’s Layla and decides to play along. After all, Tyler cannot resist messing with the pissed off girl firing off texts about junk pictures, cheating, and girl code.

As the fallout from Adam’s scandalous texts plays out in front of the entire school, Tyler and Layla secretly continue to text each other using fake names. But as days and weeks pass, things take a turn for the serious between them, and suddenly, their texts mean more. Maybe it's time to come clean about who they are and risk taking the relationship from texts to dates, then kissing, and maybe more.

They say there's a thin line between love and hate. Can reality live up to the fantasy, or will Layla and Tyler be forever offsides?

About Right Kiss Wrong Guy (Off Sides #2)

You'd think a girl with the most romantic name in the world would have her pick of boyfriends.

But Valentine's Day sucks when you're single. Just ask Juliet Valentine, whose last name happens to also be the name of the most dreaded made-up holiday ever.

A romantic at heart, this year is especially hard on Juliet. Her sister, Layla, is in a new relationship, her mom's match-making business is doing great, and her school's new fundraiser is "Love-Grams."

Juliet's miserable, a little jealous, and lonely.

Quarterback Jared Black is the most popular guy in school. A star athlete, Jared tops the most-eligible bachelor list year after year. But to Juliet Valentine, he's all but invisible. She isn't impressed.

Jared's never had to work hard to get the attention of a girl before. Valentine's Day is fast approaching, and he's determined to ask Juliet out. After all, if Tyler can win over Layla, Jared ought to have a shot with Layla's sister.

Unlike Tyler and Layla, charm, flattery and good looks won't work on Juliet. So with the V-Day dance coming up, Jared uses the school’s Love-Grams to let Juliet know how he feels. Should be simple enough, right?

Wrong. Each attempt ends up either in the trash or thrown in someone's face. Juliet won't play his game.

Now, without a date to the dance Jared realizes it’s going to take a Hail Mary to win the girl of his dreams.

Blog Tour Post & Giveaway: Assassin of Truths (Library Jumpers #3) by Brenda Drake

Welcome today's stop on the Assassin of Truths ( Library Jumpers #3) by Brenda Drake  hosted by Chapter by Chapter   Today's stop is a review as well as a chance to enter the great giveaway that is being run throughout this tour.

Review:

Assassin of Truths was a satisfying conclusion to the Library Jumpers Trilogy. Full of action of action and excitement right from the word go, book 3 picks up a month or after the end of book 2. Gia and her friends are still reeling in the aftermath of the events of book 2, the grief at those they lost and for Gia especially the part she played in it all. However there are chiavi to find, a tetras to release and conquer and two worlds to save so Gia and her friends are determined to get on with the task at hand. The pace of the story did not let up the whole way through, each page seemed to reveal a new secret or betrayal or surprise and raise the stakes just that little bit higher. This was done cleverly in a way that both progressed the story and kept me hooked into the book, holding my breath, from beginning to end. I also found it easy to get back into the flow of the series. It’s been a year since I read Guardian of Secrets but I found it relatively easy to slip back into the story. I really liked the growth we saw in many of the characters, in particular Gia, from the beginning of the series to this last book. She really seemed to learn and grow after each thing that happened and this made me like her all the more. I also liked seeing how her relationships with others, with Arik and Bastien especially, grew and changed as the characters did. It felt like virtually all Gia’s relationships with other characters changed through out the series, many strengthening and others changing into something completely different, which is how it is in life especially when there are epic world ending events in play. What I loved most about the novel was the world building. Ms Drake creates a world that while dealing with all sports of strife, is one I would love to visit. Right from the beginning, the idea of being able to jump from place place via library and through a page in a library book, grabbed my imagination and the worlds and havens that Ms Drake created within this idea made not want to leave at the end. All in all I really enjoyed this book and this series as a whole and I am sad that this appears to be the last book in this world. I do know that regardless of whether its set in this world or in some other, I will be interested in reading what Ms Drake writes next. I have no qualms giving this book 4 stars for excitement, action, a great story and a world you will wish you could stay in.

OTHER BOOKS IN THE SERIES:

Thief of Lies (Library Jumpers #1) by Brenda Drake
Gia Kearns would rather fight with boys than kiss them. That is, until Arik, a leather clad hottie in the Boston Athenaeum, suddenly disappears. While examining the book of world libraries he abandoned, Gia unwittingly speaks the key that sucks her and her friends into a photograph and transports them into a Paris library, where Arik and his Sentinels—magical knights charged with protecting humans from the creatures traveling across the gateway books—rescue them from a demonic hound.

Jumping into some of the world's most beautiful libraries would be a dream come true for Gia, if she weren’t busy resisting her heart or dodging an exiled wizard seeking revenge on both the Mystik and human worlds. Add a French flirt obsessed with Arik and a fling with a young wizard, and Gia must choose between her heart and her head, between Arik's world and her own, before both are destroyed.

Guardian of Secrets (Library Jumpers #2) by Brenda Drake

Being a Sentinel isn’t all fairytales and secret gardens.   Sure, jumping through books into the world’s most beautiful libraries to protect humans from mystical creatures is awesome. No one knows that better than Gia Kearns, but she could do without the part where people are always trying to kill her. Oh, and the fact that Pop and her had to move away from her friends and life as she knew it. And if that isn’t enough, her boyfriend, Arik, is acting strangely. Like, maybe she should be calling him “ex,” since he’s so into another girl. But she doesn’t have time to be mad or even jealous, because someone has to save the world from the upcoming apocalypse, and it looks like that’s going to be Gia. Maybe. If she survives.
